As we continue to count down towards flight operations and the enviable data collection has brought many details into focus that need to be worked on. Additionally, week three in person work time was shrunk down to only 3 available in class hours for the observation of the MLK holiday. For the the short amount of available time, a great deal of progress was made. Inventories were conducted, formats for checklist documents was developed, and operations brainstorming for upcoming mission was conducted.

During the process of developing a field checklist for the Matrice (pictured above), it was decided that a vital part was to have inventories of all components so that nothing gets left behind when used in the field. Having accountability of sub-parts to the systems is vital to competing the mission. These initial inventories will then be uploaded into drone logbook so all users of the M600 can see what needs to be present before and after flight operations. Having a record of completed inventories will help to track down lost parts should that ever happen.

Brainstorming for ideas is one of the most productive tools groups can used in the development of ideas. Our UAS class has a lot of opportunity to develop a strategy towards successful flight operations in the coming months. However, we are in desperate need a solid plan of action. as the pieces come together it is vital to discuss the developing plan and work to address any missing gaps that are being missed. Some take-aways from week three discussion include the need to conduct a dry run for management purposes, Bramor timeline, and transportation of equipment concerns. Of those there issues, all still are in progress and need to be discussed further to make headway towards flight ops.
